Pearl of Africa Fashion Alliance (PAFA) –is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Uganda. Through our work in three key areas: Technology & Innovation, Sustainability, and Ugandan Craftsmanship, we play an active role in supporting and developing the industry so as to position Uganda as an innovative fashion hub. PAFA supports initiatives that increase capacity, promote environmentally friendly business practices, and broaden Uganda's fashion and textile industries globally. Our mission is to support the expansion of regional fashion designers and shops and advocate the importance of raising the visibility of homegrown brands both locally and around the globe. Our range of programs includes local and international go-to-market opportunities, resources for brand growth and business development, seminars and conferences, community events, masterclasses, mentorships as well as consultations on a range of important industry-related topics.
President - Miss Culture Uganda
Miss Culture Uganda is a culturally constructed ambassadorial national beauty contest organized by Nsubuga Ronnie as a platform for young women of today to find their sense of belongingness in society and empower their purpose in life. Miss Culture Uganda aims majorly on advocating for the restoration, preservation, appreciation, promotion, and celebration of the use of the elements of traditional and contemporary culture and heritage of Uganda for the betterment of humanity socially and economically through various platforms which include showcasing the Cultural ethics of the Ugandan people, promoting of the Ugandan Languages, Music, Clothing/Fashion, as well the food of the people from the 65 constitutionally recognized unique tribes and indigenous communities. These are all embedded in the pageant as contestants are exposed to various cultural activities such as showcasing traditional and cultural attires of various cultures, Ugandan-made wears, and traditional and cultural Music and Dance as well as cultural cooking competitions among others which are all exciting platforms for Cultural ethics.
Creative Director - African Secrets Magazine
Nsubuga Ronnie worked as a creative director for African secrets Magazine a renown Magazine connecting African countries to interdependently promoting their tourism on a domestic and global level through both an online weekly update and physical publication released bi annually.
